What Are Tinctures?

Tinctures are liquid extracts from herbs that you take orally. They usually are extracted in alcohol, but can also be extracted in vegetable glycerin or apple cider vinegar (non-alcohol). It is made by soaking herbs and other plant parts in alcohol for 6 to 8 weeks to extract the active ingredients. The herbal mixture is then strained, leaving only the concentrated liquid.
